In two separate bowls filled with water, add 1/2 tsp in each, then add to one of the bowls the green plantains, and to the other, the yellow plantains, let sit for about 5 minutes. Heat 1/2 cup of light olive oil medium heat in a large skillet. When hot cook starting with the green plantains in oil, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Place on a paper towel.
